The Blair Community Schools Board of Education on Sept. 17 approved Blair Youth Football’s request to use Krantz Field Stadium on four Sundays this fall: Aug. 31, Sept. 7, Sept. 21 and Sept. 28. The decision came at a special meeting at the district central office in Blair.
The approval was made by formal motion. The motion passed unanimously: Denise Cada, Steve Callaghan, Ginger Fredericksen, Nate Larsen, Kari Loseke, Bob Schoby, Melaini Sturm and Courtney Tabor all voted yes.
Public comment was offered during the meeting; five patrons spoke, but the transcript did not specify their names or the substance of their remarks. The board did not record conditions or permit fees in the meeting minutes attached to the agenda.
The board adjourned at 6:08 p.m. after a separate motion to adjourn made by Steve Callaghan and seconded by Melaini Sturm; that motion also passed unanimously.
The meeting notice said it was posted at the central office, on the district website and emailed to the news media in accordance with district policy; the agenda referenced Nebraska’s Open Meetings Law, Chapter 84, Article 14.
