Board renews memorandum of understanding with Bowen Health for student and employee assistance services

The board voted Sept. 16 to continue the district’s agreement with Bowen Health (formerly Bowen Center) to provide the student assistance program, skills coaches and an employee assistance program, the staff presentation said.
The presenter said the MOU describes services provided and the payment process: Bowen bills Medicaid when permitted with parent consent, or bills insurance after families use two free sessions that Bowen provides to students and staff. District staff requested board permission to continue the relationship and the board approved the renewal unanimously.
Action: board approved continuation of the MOU with Bowen Health, motion carried 7–0.
