The Kennedale City Council approved changes to city facility rental fees to align rental procedures with the myGov permitting and payment platform and to add pricing for future ballpark rentals. Elizabeth (staff) told the council, "We've started doing all of our rentals through myGov, so we had to make some adjustments for payment options and how we do refunds of rental deposits." Staff said the city provides a checklist and an online PDF to renters and requires renters to sign that they will follow the checklist to receive deposit refunds. Council members asked about the inspection process and whether staff inspect facilities after weekend rentals; staff responded inspections occur when staff return to the building and that renters are encouraged to take before-and-after photos. Council voted 4-0 to adopt the updated fees; the motion was made by Councilmember Glover and seconded by Councilmember Navarres.
