Commissioner proposes requesting council to seek lower Route 4 speed limit after safety concerns raised

One resident said the police generally allow drivers 15 mph over the posted limit before issuing tickets; staff and residents noted that Montgomery County and township roads have different posted limits and enforcement practices.
No formal motion or recorded vote to forward a request to city council was recorded in the meeting minutes. Commissioners and residents discussed possible target speeds (40 and 45 were mentioned) and the practical limits of local enforcement.
