Amanda Hill, planning and development economic growth staff, summarized the ordinance (Item P75) as an amendment to multiple sections of the code including section 802 (tree preservation and replacement) and related subsections, plus the addition of a tree mitigation fund and definitions. Hill said staff requested a continuance to the Oct. 21 meeting in New Port Richey at 1:30 p.m.
A motion to continue the item to Oct. 21 passed on the board's vote. The continuance will allow additional review of ordinance language and permit staff to refine definitions and applicability language before the public hearing on adoption.
Ending: The board continued the item; staff will return with revised code language and additional materials for the Oct. 21 meeting.
