Lafayette approves $87,954 contract for 2025 small concrete project, issues notice to proceed

The Lafayette City Board on Sept. 16 awarded the 2025 small concrete project contract to Dixon Construction for $87,954 and approved an immediate notice to proceed. Jeremy Grenard, city engineer, told the board the city "received the quotes and found Dixon Construction to be the lowest responsive quote in the amount of $87,954 and we're recommending that the board approve the contract with Dixon Construction in that amount." The motion to approve the contract and the subsequent motion to issue a notice to proceed were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The board did not record a roll-call vote in the public record during the session. The engineer said the notice to proceed is effective immediately, and staff will coordinate with the contractor on scheduling and permit requirements.
