Commissioners grant alcohol license for restaurant at 5237 Georgia Highway 219 in Fortson

Harris County commissioners on Sept. 16 approved an alcohol-license application for a restaurant proposed at 5237 Georgia Highway 219 in Fortson. The applicant was named in the meeting record as “Zara l Orgia Polruto Morjette” (transcript spelling). County staff reported that the sheriff’s office, the health department and the community development department recommended approval. The application requested permission to sell beer and wine on premises and distilled spirits by the drink. The board had no substantive discussion and moved to a vote; the motion to approve the application was seconded and carried, with one recorded vote in the transcript reading “Susan: Aye.”
