Rick Campbell, highway superintendent, presented Community Crossings invoices and a change order that required commissioners— signatures to submit and receive payment. Commissioners moved and approved the Community Crossings invoices 2-0.
Campbell also presented a surveyor—s request and a filled permit form to allow a property owner to run a perimeter drain into the county open ditch so the owner could hook up a septic system. Commissioners approved both the form (to create a permit for future use) and the specific perimeter-drain permission; the board said exceptions should be handled under the superintendent—s oversight.
A motion to approve the permit and the form passed 2-0. Commissioners praised the highway crew for completing paving work despite hot conditions and noted the new equipment is performing well.
