Recorder staff said the original 2022 proposal and project cost were larger; the current proposal eliminates the need for staff to bring records to the vendor because US Imaging will provide Pelican box pickup with GPS tracking. The recorder said the actual project cost fell well under the 2022 approved budget and that the county saved roughly $16,000 compared with the original numbers.
Commissioner Myers moved to approve the $8,106.26 expenditure; another commissioner seconded and the motion carried 2-0.
Recorder staff said the vendor turnaround is quick and that the contract will complete the county—s long-running digitization of archival records.
