The hearing officer closed the zoning citation for 85 Gregory Boulevard on Sept. 17 after city inspections showed the previously cited trailer and commercial vehicle were removed. The city’s deputy zoning inspector said follow-up inspections on Aug. 25, Sept. 3 and Sept. 15 documented no commercial dump truck, no trailer and no parking in the front setback.
The city presented photographic evidence from the inspections and asked the hearing officer whether to remove the matter from the agenda or keep the file open for future complaints. Attorney for the property’s trustee said the trailer was removed as quickly as the occupant — a beneficiary of a trust — could arrange and asked that the citation be dismissed.
The hearing officer noted the property has a recurring history of violations but said current conditions show compliance and ordered the file closed. He told city staff to reissue a new citation if new violations appear in the future.
Speakers at the hearing included the hearing officer, Norwalk Deputy Zoning Inspector John Hayducki and the property’s attorney. No fine was imposed and no further action was ordered at this session.
