County accepts $12,000 state WIC amendment to expand local services

Staff noted that much of the money will support client services and program staffing, and that the county often faces costs tied to providing services in distant communities (Moab and Cortez were noted as the nearest service hubs).
Vote Commissioners moved and seconded the amendment; the commission approved the increased contract amount during the Sept. 16 meeting.
Ending Staff will spend the funds under existing WIC program rules and report back as required by the state contract.
