The county's representative from the state's attorney's office said, “we're a little over 200 felonies filing this year, so trucking right along. We have trials going through December.” The office also announced that Brian Brim, the former first assistant, will return as the county’s zoning hearing officer.
The office said it will open a hiring process for an assistant state's attorney starting in November. The representative also offered collections figures: $6,434.09 received for August and a fiscal-to-date total of $95,401.11.
