The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted Sept. 16 to approve a utility permit allowing a telephone company to install underground fiber along 370 Fifth Avenue in Bellevue Township to serve a property identified in the application.
An engineer's-office staff member told the board the work will extend roughly a half mile from an existing vault on the east side of the road and will not be placed in the roadway. Staff said the department saw no issues and recommended approval as a standard permit.
A motion to approve was made and seconded; the board approved the permit by voice vote. No additional conditions or budget actions were recorded in the meeting minutes.
