Superintendent Dr. Goree introduced Brandy McIntosh Lee on Sept. 15 as the district’s newly appointed director of counseling. Trustees and staff welcomed Lee and noted her 30 years of experience in education.
According to the superintendent’s remarks, Lee earned a Master of Education in school counseling from Dallas Baptist University, a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas and an Associate of Arts from Southwestern Christian College. The superintendent listed certifications including principal EC–12 and counselor PK–12 and described Lee’s most recent role as academic dean at the Collegiate Academy at Duncanville High School, where she supported dual-credit and postsecondary transition systems.
The board offered congratulations; no formal vote was required during public session as the introduction followed the superintendent’s announcement. Trustees said they look forward to Lee’s work in strengthening counseling systems and college-and-career readiness supports across the district.
