The McHenry City Council approved a temporary-use permit for Foxhole Pizza to operate at 3308 West Elm Street on Oct. 25, 2025. Alderman Miller moved to approve the permit and Alderman Doherty seconded.
An applicant at the podium said the event would displace about 10 parking spaces; the business will use two manager-designated spaces and arrange roughly 10 other spaces in a nearby lot or otherwise compensate residents for inconvenience. “We’re compensating them for their inconvenience,” the applicant said when asked whether nearby residents had been informed.
Council approved the permit by roll call. Staff confirmed the permit is time-limited for the date specified; if future events are contemplated, the applicant would need additional permits or changes to the city’s processes.
