Superintendent: Middleton‑Cross Plains starts school year with renewed mission, safety and sustainability priorities

She also said the district welcomed two new leaders at the middle‑ and high‑school levels and thanked the board and community partners for their support, singling out the Middleton Cross Plains Education Foundation for its classroom support.
On safety and security, Monod reported the district added a second school resource officer at the high school and that Asher Torbeck is now a full‑time safety and security coordinator. She said a district visitor management software is being implemented and staff training on the system is underway.
On sustainability, Monod said the district continues multiple projects intended to help reach a 2035 net‑zero carbon goal and that the district remains in a strong fiscal position, citing business services’ maintenance of fund balance and the district’s Moody’s A1 rating.
