The recurring option under consideration was moving from biweekly recycling pickup to weekly pickup; staff said weekly service would cost an additional $27.84 per year per account over biweekly pickup. Trustees reported mixed feedback from residents: several members said neighbors preferred biweekly pickup while one trustee said they were in the minority and could accept weekly service.
Trustees clarified that the garbage/recycling charge is a fee on the tax bill, not part of the village tax levy, and recorded a motion to set the 2025 tax‑bill charge at $209.92. The motion carried on a voice/roll‑call vote.
Later in the meeting the board approved Ordinance 2025‑O6 to bring local code into alignment with DNR recycling grant program requirements; the ordinance vote also carried.
