Code board rescinds fine for Lake Mineola Condominium after association shows compliance

The City of Claremont Code Enforcement Board voted Sept. 15 to rescind the $16,750 fine imposed on Lake Mineola Condominium Association (case C2501-0036) after the association told the board it had completed repairs and obtained sign-offs. Association representative Koa Enkeena told the board the group had worked to secure engineering and contractor services and said staffing delays in the city's fire division had slowed permitting. Enkeena said the 10-unit community had faced hurricane-related assessments and financial strain but had brought the structural items into compliance on July 22, and provided documentation to staff. Code enforcement staff recommended a 20% reduction but the board instead voted to rescind the fine and, if applicable, release any lien. The vote passed unanimously.
