The Unit 40 Board approved the consent agenda on Sept. 15, which included minutes from the Aug. 11 regular meeting and closed session, cafeteria report, a list of student-teacher practicum placements, numerous fundraisers and several field-trip requests. The board also approved disposal of surplus items from the high school (principally desks and chairs no longer usable).
Staff outlined the student-teacher placements across grade levels and subjects, including a math interventionist at Southside, pre-K/kindergarten split placements, elementary and junior-high grade-level placements and special-education practicum experiences. Fundraisers approved included the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, multiple PTO/PTA and booster events, band and choir fundraisers, and athletic team requests. Field trips included an eighth-grade cross-country meet in Terre Haute, EHS band participation at Bands of America in St. Louis and a prospective EHS band trip to Universal Studios in Orlando in April 2026. The consent agenda was moved by Andrew and seconded by Dasha; roll-call votes were all yes.
