Staff noted the site already has an ATM history (Chase/Flagstar examples) and said the zoning (B‑3 drive‑in bank interpretation) permits an ATM but the commission has historically asked for separate sign applications for freestanding ATMs. Planning staff's Sept. 6 memo said the proposed signs appeared too tall and "not attractive" and recommended the applicant redesign the signs to be more consistent with previous ATM approvals in the shopping area.
Commissioners agreed to continue the application and asked the applicant to address staff comments, submit separate signage documentation and consider a design closer in scale and materials to the existing ATM at the Outback/Commons area. The commission did not take final action; staff will review a revised submission.
