SkillZone application and game‑room settlement to be processed; no ordinance change expected

Staff said they expected to receive SkillZone’s application within the settlement‑specified deadline and that inspections would be part of the application review process.
From the county’s perspective, the settlement covered the matters the court needed to resolve and no ordinance amendment appears necessary. “I don’t believe it requires a change to the game room ordinance itself,” a staff member said. County fire‑safety staff said landlords and operators have been cooperative on safety matters; the court asked staff to put a formal proposal on the commissioners’ agenda for any additional clarifying language the county might want to add.
The court asked to be notified when SkillZone’s application arrives so the county can schedule inspections and any required hearings. No final action or vote occurred during the workshop.
