Board approves three street namings: Holden Street, Quartz Ridge Road and Bamza Way

Graham County supervisors approved three road namings during a public hearing on Sept. 15: Holden Street (off Clough), Quartz Ridge Road (north off East Swift Trail, east of Pommel) and Bamza Way (east off Central Road).
Planning and zoning staff and GIS reviewed each request and coordinated with 911 dispatch to check for duplicates and ensure addressability in emergency systems, county staff said. No members of the public spoke for or against any of the naming requests at the hearing.
Vice Chairman David noted the county advertises road-name requests in the newspaper to provide public notice. Supervisors moved and seconded each request and approved them by voice vote.
County staff said one of the new roads (Bamza Way) will provide engineered access into steep parcels; engineering is underway before building occurs. The county will add the names to its GIS and dispatch systems as part of routine address management.
The board closed the public hearing after the votes.
