Executive committee ratifies staff and faculty contracts

The Vermont State Colleges executive committee ratified two labor agreements Monday: the Staff Federation contract and the CCV United Faculty contract. Trustee David Silverman moved to accept the Staff Federation contract; Trustee Mark Mahali seconded the motion and the committee approved it by voice vote. The committee then approved the CCV United Faculty contract on a subsequent motion, also moved by Silverman and seconded by Mahali. Chair and trustees thanked chief negotiators and counsel for their work on the agreements; Mary Broski was singled out by a trustee for her role on the faculty agreement. The committee did not provide detailed financial terms of the contracts during the public portion of the meeting. Both ratifications were presented as action items after the committee returned from executive session and were approved by the committee.
