Lisle approves special use for ground-floor medical office at 1111 Burlington Avenue

The Lisle Village Board on Sept. 15 approved an ordinance granting a special use permit to allow a ground-floor medical office — a massage therapy practice — at 1111 Burlington Avenue, Suite 108G. Director Smetana told the board the Plan Commission held a public hearing Aug. 20 and recommended approval; staff also recommended approval at the board meeting. No objectors were present and no public comments were offered during the board’s vote. Clerk McClellan conducted a roll-call vote; trustees affirmed the ordinance and the motion passed. The board did not attach conditions to the special use permit during the meeting nor did it amend the Plan Commission recommendation. The approval allows the petitioner to proceed with operations subject to compliance with any applicable village codes and permitting requirements for medical offices and massage therapy practices. The board did not identify any additional zoning or building-review requirements beyond the standard permitting process during the meeting. The decision followed staff and Plan Commission review and was taken as a routine land-use action on the regular agenda.
