Alderman Nardini on Monday urged Elmhurst residents to complete an online survey supporting a city housing study conducted by Homes for a Changing Region and the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, funded by the Illinois Housing Development Authority. The deadline for resident input is Sept. 30.
Nardini said the grant‑funded study will analyze current housing stock, interview stakeholders and convene focus groups to develop options for future housing needs in Elmhurst. “This study doesn't cost us a nickel. It was grant funded,” he said, and described the effort as planning to help older residents stay in town and preserve housing options for workers such as chefs and nurses.
Nardini encouraged residents to visit the city website or social media channels for the survey link and to participate before the deadline.
