Crowley ISD previews third annual community report, will mail copy to every address

Crowley Independent School District trustees heard highlights from the district’s third annual community-based accountability report and were told printed copies will be mailed to every address in the district. Dr. Gere, Superintendent, told the board the report is roughly 30 pages and combines multiple data points community members identified as important. “I’m just calling…which emphasizes our community based accountability system, that looks at multiple data points that our community has told us are important to us,” Dr. Gere said. The superintendent said the report includes STAR and SAT results, accountability data and survey results. Jason (staff member) and Mr. Connor (staff member) were named as staff helping assemble and format the report for distribution. The district said it used community engagement funds to print the report and that printed copies would be available at campuses for anyone who does not receive one by mail. Board members asked clarifying questions about distribution; Dr. Gere confirmed copies will be mailed to every address and that additional copies may be picked up at school campuses. The presentation was informational; no board action was taken on the report at the meeting.
