The New Carlisle City Council introduced Sergeant Evans Fisher as the department's newly appointed sergeant dedicated to the city.
Sergeant Evans Fisher told the council she has 26 years of service with the Clark County Sheriff's Office and described prior assignments including road patrol and investigations. She said she hopes to bring her experience to local investigations and to support the department's work in New Carlisle. "I've got a lot of ideas. I want to work with the team that I have with me," she said, adding that she is available to council and residents and that she will attend council meetings.
Mayor Cook and other councilmembers welcomed Fisher. The city manager said the department had already benefited from her participation in festival planning and related security coordination.
No formal personnel vote was recorded on the public transcript at this meeting; the council's remarks presented the sergeant to the public and noted her availability for community contacts and future meetings.
