The committee unanimously approved a $50,000 donation from BNA Woodland Oz Business LLC toward infrastructure improvements near 408 Woodland Street (RS20251496). The motion passed 7-0.
During questions, Councilmember Benedict asked how the department determines what the money will be used for and how the amount is calculated. Matt Purvis, council liaison for the department, said the contributions are generally calculated based on frontage in the right-of-way or on the number of units being added and "it kinda depends on what the actual project is." He said the developer team determined $50,000 was appropriate toward the greater spokes project.
Councilmember Benedict also asked about the completion timeline for the spokes project. Purvis said the planned completion has "never changed" and is expected by 2028-29; he added that the project was awaiting federal steps on an ATIP grant and that NEPA would be submitted soon.
The committee did not discuss a specific binding agreement tying the $50,000 to particular line items in the spokes project during the meeting.
