New Carlisle schedules October budget work sessions; council to meet at firehouse

The New Carlisle City Council approved working-session dates to begin review of the proposed 2026 budget and agreed to hold the sessions at the city's firehouse. City Manager Hall proposed a series of dates for budget working sessions and said staff had prepared a polished 2026 budget draft. Councilmembers moved and seconded a motion to schedule evening sessions beginning at 6 p.m.; the transcript shows consensus to hold sessions Oct. 14 and 15 at the firehouse so staff could use the large projection screen.
