Alief ISD reports $354,771.39 in donations, board accepts report unanimously

Alief Independent School District trustees voted unanimously to accept the district’s donation report, which listed a grand total of $354,771.39 in contributions for September 2025. The district’s business and community partner coordinator presented the list of donors during the meeting.
The report, read aloud to the board, itemized contributions from local businesses, banks, faith organizations and community groups across multiple campuses and programs. The presentations included names of corporate and community contributors and the campus or program designated to receive each gift.
Board action was procedural: Trustee Janet Spurlock moved to accept the donation report as presented; Trustee Rick Moreno seconded. The board voted 5-0 in favor with no abstentions, and the motion carried.
The acceptance places the donations on the district record; the administration did not request further action beyond approval at this meeting.
