The Cabarrus County Board of Education removed a successor contract with Public Consulting Group (PCG) from the consent agenda at its Sept. 15 meeting after staff said language the board requested had not yet been incorporated. The board voted to adopt the remainder of the consent agenda and to defer the PCG contract until the requested language is included and the contract is returned next month.

Board Chair Rob Walter said the district had asked for specific language in the PCG successor contract that was not yet included, so the item was pulled for later consideration. The rest of the consent agenda, described by staff as previously vetted and answered during last week's review session, passed by voice vote.

No additional public discussion or formal amendments of the PCG contract are recorded in the transcript; staff indicated the item will be brought back next month when the requested language has been added.
