Interim Road Superintendent Rod Norton told the Sheridan County Commissioners on Sept. 16 that he has hired two new road department employees who will begin work on Sept. 29. Norton said one of the hires already holds a commercial driver’s license and the other is a loader operator.
Norton also said he plans to advertise on local radio to promote roadside mowing, stating his concern that several landowners have been neglectful of mowing. The commissioners received the report; no formal motion or vote is recorded in the minutes related to the hires or the advertising plan.
