Councilmember Rivas asked that the council postpone consideration so residents could get more time to understand the project’s impacts; planning staff told the council the application deadline for agency action had been extended and that the developer had about 60 more days on the agency action timeline. Councilmember D’Alessandro said she had met with neighbors and requested a written recap of a neighborhood listening session to ensure earlier questions were answered. The council voted 6–0 to lay the item over to the next regularly scheduled council meeting and asked staff to work with residents and the developer to provide additional details on setbacks, tree preservation, stormwater and traffic impacts. Planning staff clarified that the council action before members at this stage only established lot boundaries; building permit review and plan‑level permit processes would still address final driveway locations, building placement, stormwater measures and a tree preservation plan.
