The Administration Finance Committee on Monday recommended approval of Resolution 65 R 25, appointing Jackie Dietrich as the village’s authorized agent for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF). Shannon, a staff member who presented the item, outlined the IMRF designee’s responsibilities: close knowledge of the municipality’s personnel, access to personnel and payroll records, communication channels with the governing body, and sufficient time to perform IMRF administrative functions. Shannon said the authorized agent is responsible to “administer IMRF, file payroll reports, make contribution payments, file member forms, and act as the agent of the village with respect to IMRF matters.” Shannon said Jackie Dietrich, in the role of payroll and accounting generalist, will carry out the IMRF functions; the current designee is Sarah Cortinas serving as deputy clerk. Miss Baines moved the recommendation and Mister Simons seconded. Chair Trustee Wilson said Resolution 65 R 25 will go to the October 6 board meeting with a positive committee recommendation.
