Tom Ritzenthaler of CS Arch said the project uses phased construction because the school will remain occupied. The team plans to cordon off areas with temporary walls; work in areas B, C, D and E will include second-shift mechanical upgrades and summer first-shift activity. Ritzenthaler said a building swing schedule is planned for Jan. 31, 2027, with substantial completion in May 2027 and final closeout in August 2027.

The presentation described a design change that removed a remaining portion of an old building so the new plan would avoid a courtyard scheme and be more economical to build. District staff said they had met the contractor and a subcontractor to review construction wall details for student protection and that the temporary bus loop work was scheduled to start the following Saturday.
