CTE Coordinator Brandi Williams presented Amy Boone with the Career & Technology Association of Texas Champion of CTE Award during the Sept. 15 Calhoun County ISD Board meeting. Williams said Boone assisted with multiple grants that funded equipment for CTE programs.
The minutes record that the Calhoun High School CTE department was awarded a JET Grant in the amount of $79,277, which the district used to purchase an Anatomage table for the high school’s Health and Science Department.
The recognition and the grant were listed under special recognition on the board’s agenda; no vote was required to acknowledge the award or the grant, and the minutes do not record additional discussion beyond the presentation by Brandi Williams.
