The Bristol Tennessee Board of Education approved two district policy revisions on second reading during its Sept. 15, 2025, meeting: Policy 4.600, Grading Systems, and Policy 5.200, Separation Practices for Tenured Teachers. The motion to approve the policies on second reading was made by Jim Butcher and seconded by Debbie Darnell; the vote was unanimous.
Board members voting in favor were Debbie Darnell, Eric Cuddy, Jennifer Henson, Jim Butcher and Charlie Taylor. The board recorded attached policy documents for each item. There was no public comment recorded on these policy votes during the meeting.
Approving policies on second reading completes the board’s formal adoption step under the district’s policy process; the minutes list file attachments for the two policy documents and show the board’s unanimous approval.
