The Education and Economic Development Committee on Sept. 15 reappointed three individuals to the Orange County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) and the Orange County Funding Corporation, each for terms expiring Dec. 31, 2027. The committee approved each reappointment by voice vote.
The committee reappointed Mark Green to both the IDA and the Orange County Funding Corporation. The motion to reappoint Green was moved by Legislator Sierra and seconded by Legislator Sasse. Committee members then reappointed Giovanni Paladino to the IDA and the Funding Corporation; the transcript records a motion by Legislator Sasse and a second by Legislator Sierra for the first Paladino motion. Finally, the committee reappointed Linda S. Mueller to both bodies; the transcript records a motion by Legislator O’Donnell and a second by Legislator Sasse.
Chairman Hines introduced the slate and noted that the nominees’ résumés were attached to the agenda. Committee members called the question on each motion; each carried by voice vote with no recorded roll call in the transcript. The committee offered no substantive debate or amendments to the nominations during the meeting.
The reappointments were routine personnel actions for county authorities; each term will run through Dec. 31, 2027, as recorded in the agenda materials and in committee proceedings.
