Tourism director reports record visitor spending, expanded marketing and a busy film season

Amanda Dana, director of Orange County Tourism, told the Education and Economic Development Committee on Sept. 15 that a recent economic impact study showed the county’s visitor spending at roughly $1.32 billion for 2024, a figure she said was up 4% from 2023 and the third straight year above $1 billion. Dana presented quarterly metrics, marketing activities and a rundown of film and tourism events around the county.
