Court Revokes Community Supervision for Adriana Ayala, Sentences Her to Two Years

The court revoked Adriana Ayala’s community supervision after she pleaded true to an alleged violation that she absconded from a women's sober home. The state proceeded only on violation number 41; Ayala admitted the allegation and the court accepted an agreed disposition that included revocation and a two-year prison term. The judge also made an affirmative finding of family violence in the case, ordered no unsupervised contact with minors and requested therapeutic-community placement as appropriate. The court directed the clerk to apply credit for time already served; the record given to the court showed 578 days credited toward Ayala’s sentence. Prosecutors and defense counsel told the court the state would not pursue other violations in the revocation motion, and the defendant waived other contest points. The court reiterated that by pleading true the defendant risked up to two years in state prison; Ayala stated she understood and the court followed the agreed sentence. Court staff will enter the judgment and notify the jail, probation and treatment providers of the sentence and no-contact conditions in cause 2020CR10020.
