On Sept. 15 Strongsville City Council voted to grant an easement to the City of Cleveland for a water meter vault connected to the proposed new Fire Station No. 5. The easement was authorized by Ordinance 202592, which the council voted to suspend and adopt on the night’s agenda.
The easement allows city of Cleveland crews to construct and install a water meter vault on the south side of Royalton Road between Pearl Road and the proposed Fire Station No. 5 site. The proposal had been placed on first reading, was referred to the planning commission and received a favorable recommendation before council moved to suspend and adopt.
Councilman Spring presented the ordinance and said the planning commission supported the request. The motion to suspend and adopt was moved and seconded; the roll-call vote recorded all members present voting yes.
No additional debate or public comment on the easement was recorded at the meeting.
