Noah's Landing resident raises sewer billing concern at Kearney meeting

A Noahs Landing resident addressed the Board of Aldermen during the Sept. 15 public comment period, saying her neighborhood is being billed for sewer on water that she and neighbors say is being used to establish yards and is not entering the sewer system.

Jesse Gentlemen (listed on the sign-in sheet as the speaker) said she lives at 1104 Noah Lane in Noahs Landing and has contacted the citys water billing office. "As much water as what we're putting out, we're being charged for sewer as well. And that water isn't going into the sewer system. It's going into our yards to try and start new sod," she said. She told the board she had spoken with about half a dozen residents who shared the same concern and that the charges are costly if the water is not being returned to the sewer.
