The Controlling Board approved Ohio University’s request to proceed with Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) phases 4 and 5 for the Siegfried Hall renovation, an agency representative said.
An Ohio University representative told the board the GMP 4 and 5 items are the next steps in the project. “We've already had GMP 1, 2, and 3, which was to relocate individuals. This due to the scheduling, this project is over multiple bienniums of state funding. So this is the next step of demolition and utilities for the renovation of Siegfried Hall,” the university representative said.
Board action: After Senator Ingram asked for clarification that the amendment was to an existing contract, the board approved the item with no objections. No further questions were recorded.
Next steps: Ohio University will proceed with GMP 4 and 5 work consisting of demolition and utility relocation as part of the Siegfried Hall renovation project funded across multiple bienniums.
