Probation fee collections and orders for the quarter were read aloud: LaSalle County — ordered to date $74,550, collected to date $43,023.05 (monthly ordered $8,100); Bureau County — ordered $13,950, collected to date $9,779; Grundy County — ordered $61,093, collected to date $16,858.29. The speaker gave both single‑month and quarter totals and noted that ordered and ordered‑to‑date numbers were the same for the quarter readout.
Department finance totals presented included monthly salary totals of $130,007.74 and other fringe/benefit totals. Staff said the total reimbursement received from the state for the period was $85,365.67 and explained that some grant and contract reimbursements (adult redeploy/intensive probation, treatment alternative courts, juvenile redeploy) follow the state’s fiscal schedule (July 1 start) and may arrive with a lag. Staff said the juvenile redeploy amount is handled as a pass‑through and that reimbursements for some adult programs were expected in a single check covering multiple months.
Members voted to accept the probation August department report (including financials) and the quarterly report, and separately voted to approve bills for payment; each motion passed by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
No contract awards, ordinance readings or budget adoptions were finalized at the meeting beyond the usual monthly and quarterly approvals; staff said county budget submissions are proceeding on local board schedules and that LaSalle County presentations to law and justice and finance committees were scheduled this month.
