County sobering triage and behavioral transition programs receive NACo achievement award

Spokane County presenters said the county’s sobering triage and behavioral transitional programs earned national recognition from the National Association of Counties (NACo) in the health category for 2024. “Our sobering triage and transition program and our behavioral transitional school program earned national recognition from the National Association of Counties for the 20 24 Achievement Awards in the health categories,” said Speaker 6, a county official.
Speaker 6 said the award validates the county’s approach and that national recognition demonstrates what local government can achieve through innovation and community collaboration. “National recognition from NACo affirms that Spokane County is on the right hand. These national awards validate our county's approach,” the speaker said.
The presentation described the award as program validation; no new funding proposal or formal policy change was advanced during the remarks.
