Board hears update on employee health benefits; district will roll out cancer care and infusion support

District staff and board members said communications and site-based support will accompany rollout; the board member said benefits staff (including Yvette Cruz and others) will publish weekly updates and that communications teams and site-based representatives will be available to answer questions as the program is implemented.
No formal board action or budget appropriation for the rollout was recorded at the meeting. Board members described the extension of the service as a benefits enhancement for employees and said it would be communicated districtwide when implementation steps and timelines are finalized.
