Sammamish Library to shift weekday hours to 12 p.m.–8 p.m. during HVAC work

Sammamish Library regional manager Mary Comstock told council the Sammamish branch will change weekday opening hours to 12 p.m.–8 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays starting Thursday, Sept. 4, through Oct. 15 while HVAC upgrades are installed; weekend hours will remain unchanged.
Mary Comstock, regional manager for the Sammamish Library, told the council on Sept. 2 that the Sammamish branch will temporarily change weekday hours to 12 p.m.–8 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays while the library installs a new HVAC system.
Comstock said the change is intended to provide later evening hours for patrons who cannot visit during the day and that Saturday and Sunday hours will remain the same. Staff said the temporary schedule will begin Thursday, Sept. 4 and continue through Oct. 15; the library will resume normal hours after system installation is complete.
No council action was required; the statement was placed on the public record so patrons and the community are aware of the temporary schedule.
