Josh Steven presented the item and told the board “there are statutory requirements as far as the timing of that period. Generally, it's at least 14 days from notice given, of the period date within 30, but that can be agreed to where you can extend that.” Steven said staff had spoken with the mayor about available dates and requested the council provide dates for the hearing.
Melissa moved to approve Resolution 2025-R-4; a second was recorded and the board approved the resolution by voice vote with no recorded opposition. The meeting record does not specify the substance the resolution addresses beyond starting a process that requires statutory notice and a hearing; staff said they will coordinate specific hearing dates with the mayor and council.
