"I recommend the Board of Public Works and Safety accept the bid from Fastenal Elkhart," Kate said during the meeting.
A board member moved to approve the purchase from Fastenal Elkhart and another board member seconded the motion. The presiding official called the vote; members answered "Aye," and the motion carried.
The meeting record shows no public comment or debate on the purchase amount or vehicle condition. The purchase decision was handled as a single-line item: staff recommendation followed by a motion and an unanimous vote.
