Separately, the commission asked legal counsel to review the contract’s liquidated‑damages or delay penalty provisions. Earlier minutes had noted a $1,000‑per‑day delay starting June 30; staff said legal had the contract and was reviewing the claim and would report back in a couple of weeks.

On project closeout matters, the airport manager said staff and the OPM were pursuing the arc‑fault labeling issue with the electrical inspector and the contractor; once resolved the contractor would complete final outstanding work and close the project.
